Best time to visit

Spring (March to May): Springtime brings mild weather and blooming landscapes to Iraqi Kurdistan. It’s a serene time to explore the wilderness, with comfortable temperatures and nature coming to life after the winter months.

Winter (December to February): To my own surprise it can get quite cold during winter time from December to even beginning March! But it also offers a unique charm with snow-capped mountains and clear skies that create a serene atmosphere, perfect for those seeking some unique photo ops.

Summer (June to August): While we all love the summer I wouldn’t recommend visiting Iraqi Kurdistan during this period. The temperature can rise up to 50 or even 55 degrees!

Autumn (September to November): As autumn arrives, Iraqi Kurdistan transforms with vibrant colors and cool breezes. Hiking during this season offers pleasant weather and picturesque views, making it an ideal time for outdoor enthusiasts.
